Jury Duty
I have been sent a Jury Summons. What do I do now?
STEP 1: Fill out your Questionnaire on our Juror EResponse Website.
STEP 2: Check Reporting Status after 5:00 p.m. beginning the Friday before your summons date:
Option 1: Call 833-573-1212 to hear reporting status. Only report in if the status provides a reporting date. If no date is given, DO NOT REPORT FOR JURY SERVICE. Continue calling for reporting status each evening after 5:00 p.m.
Option 2: Log into the Juror EResponse Website
Click Profile/status, select the “+” for Service Information
If no reporting date is listed and “Check Back-See Summons” appears: DO NOT REPORT FOR JURY SERVICE. Continue checking website reporting status each evening after 5:00 p.m.
Important Juror Information:
Parking:
Free parking for jurors is available at the Vermilion Street Parking Garage, located at 121 E. Vermilion Street. Jurors may park on any floor of the garage.
A complimentary shuttle bus will begin running at 7:30 a.m. and will transport jurors to and from the courthouse throughout the day.
Please note: The parking garage at 809 S. Buchanan Street is temporarily closed and is no longer available for juror parking.
Please display your parking permit on your dashboard and bring your jury summons with you. Do not park at metered spaces unless you have the proper handicap identification, as vehicles may be ticketed by LCG Parking Administration.
Courthouse Security:
The following items are not permitted inside the courthouse: cell phones, lighters, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, tobacco products, smart watches, cameras, recording devices, weapons, self-defense items, and other electronic devices. Anyone arriving with these items will not be permitted to enter the building.
